Empyrean Defense is a modern warfare tower defense game where you build, upgrade, and customize defenses to hold back an enemy invasion. Learn abilities and skills, craft advanced ammunition, and gather resources on the battlefield to strengthen and expand your defense.

We're gearing up for an exciting 2026!

  • Official Playtest: The official playtest is LIVE! For anyone interested in testing the game prior to the demo and Early Access, please sign up here. Once your submission is accepted, you will receive an activation key and can head over to the Playtest Page to get started!

v0.14.8 - Balance Updates, Localization Fixes, and Demo Polish (June 15, 2026)

Improvements

  • Added in-game objectives reminders on Sidewinder Pass (full version) and Graywake Reach (demo) to keep mission goals top of mind
  • Added interaction animations to the Market, Foundry, and Abilities panels
  • Added economy production information to site panels, making it easier to understand the output and efficiency of economic structures
  • [DEMO] Added reminders when deploying if you have unused skill points or haven't equipped an ability yet

Balance Changes

  • Updated the Rocket Strike ability
    • Now fires two rockets per activation at a slightly reduced damage per rocket, resulting in higher overall base damage
  • Updated the Triple Threat skill
    • The third bonus rocket now deals double damage and has a distinct purple trail so it's easy to spot in the chaos

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed various localization issues across multiple languages
  • Mouse cursor now starts centered on the screen when entering a level
