Empyrean Defense is a modern warfare tower defense game where you build, upgrade, and customize defenses to hold back an enemy invasion. Learn abilities and skills, craft advanced ammunition, and gather resources on the battlefield to strengthen and expand your defense.

We're gearing up for an exciting 2026!
- Official Playtest: The official playtest is LIVE! For anyone interested in testing the game prior to the demo and Early Access, please sign up here. Once your submission is accepted, you will receive an activation key and can head over to the Playtest Page to get started!
- Public Demo: Our first public demo will be available in March. Come try the game, share feedback, and help shape development.
- Steam Next Fest: Check out Empyrean Defense at Steam Next Fest June 15-22, 2026.

- Added progress bars to Economy Sites to better visualize resource production

- Improved performance and stability during extended play sessions
- Improved UI readability with larger fonts across the top navigation menu, buttons, credits and briefing panels
- Improved controller navigation
- Map mission panel objectives and medals are now focusable when using a controller
- Tooltips behave more consistently when navigating with a controller
- Introduced a new Main Menu layout with an integrated Briefing Panel
- Added new UI button effect with a sticky selected option for controller navigation
- Added Armory enhancements including ground, naval, and airborne scenes for improved presentation
- Added higher resolution medal and tutorial icons

- Repair Ability
- Repair per tick reduced from 200 → 120
- Firestorm (formerly Napalm Strike)
- Damage per tick increased from 50 → 70
- Wraith Turret
- Damage per shot increased from 50 → 70

- Blast radius increased slightly
- Sidewinder Pass
- Crystal objective reduced from 1000 → 800
- Graywake Reach
- Adjusted time requirements slightly for Silver and Gold medals
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Site Menu not showing base Power and Economy stats
- Fixed multiple UI focus issues, especially when using a controller or Steam Deck
- Fixed issues where ammo drops failed to spawn
- Fixed Support Sites incorrectly applying or removing bonuses during power outages
- Fixed Founder Boosts displaying incorrectly in the post game screen
- Fixed several stability issues caused by orphaned terrain objects
